Cuff Farms

This morning we headed to Hortonville to get some pumpkins. The weather couldn't have been any better. How many times can we or will we be able to say we were at a pumpkin farm in October in shorts? Not many, in Wisconsin anyway. The kids both had fun. We took the hayride back to the pumpkin patch and picked our pumpkins. We were able to get a big pumpkin, little pumpkin, 2 gourds and 2 corn for each ticket you purchased.
Rowan was loving walking around the patch and corn. She was very helpful. Although she tripped quite a few times over the vines. But no tears, just a few scrapes and dirty knees. She would have sat in the wagon the entire time if we let her, but we needed to transport our pumpkins somehow. When we were waiting to head back to the car, the man driving the tractor kept handing us more things to take with us. A couple extra pumpkins for the kids! Apparently the farm owner under planted one year and had to ship pumpkins in to sell, so now he way over plants, so the gentleman was giving a few extra away!
Here are all of our items we brought home.
There were a few fun things for the kids to do too, a hay slide (the rubber was hot from the sun, so she only did it a couple times), the pumpkin cut out for pictures, there was a catepillar of hay bails for he kids to walk/climb on (there were a lot of kids and it was a bit big for Rowan), then the 'train' ride (pulled by a 4 wheeler, in which Mom came back with major shin bruises, wasn't a good idea, but Rowan loved it) There were bunnies to see, no petting though. We also bought some apples to bring home. Otherwise we were on our way home before we knew it. There was football to be watched at home, and Mom had to be at work at 3pm (I was on-call but had to work because they were so short, boo!)
