We had a surprise knock on the door this afternoon! Franziska and her family were on their way to the park and stopped to invite us along. Franziska is a friend of Rowan's from school last year, but they were gone most of the summer vacationing in the US and Austria. So they just returned on Monday for the school year! Was only able to catch a picture of these two, but her sisters and Eddie were along too.
It was very hot outside today, so we didn't last very long at the park. But it was worth the sweat to catch up with this lovely family. Then we had to get ready for Rilynn to come over and play this evening too. The girls got together at Rilynn's house last week, so we planned one here this week. The girls played great and the couple hours flew right by.
Earlier in the day we had built a fort in Eddie's room...and the kids requested to sleep under the fort together tonight.
