rainy holiday @ Magic Kingdom

Our morning started out okay at Magic Kingdom...but it turned south quickly.

We've been eyeing up this Olaf hat since we have been here...but it isn't easy to keep on your head...so it turned into merely a photo opportunity thankfully.
We had brunch at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends! Caught the last few minutes of the parade before heading towards the back of the park for a few rides.
We were minding our own business riding some rides and just as we got to Big Thunder Railroad...the rain starting coming down. So we found shelter to wait it out...only it wasn't really stopping. So after about an hour of waiting and running to and from bathroom with kids...we decided to head back to the hotel.
Waiting out the rain...
We attempted to rest and nap this afternoon as we had tickets for the Christmas Party at 7pm. We did manage to lay down but there wasn't much sleeping. But the rain did at least stop for a few hours for us. So we got some dinner and headed back to the park. We managed a front row seat for the Very Merry Christmas Party. Rowan got to dance with the parade girls and Ed got to hold onto her ball in the mean time. Very important job!
After the parade we headed to get in line for Anna and Elsa because we were told that this would be the shortest the line would be...and it was 45 minutes. Every other day it was 60-90 minutes to see them. And lucky for us we were inside waiting to see them when it started pouring again. Not so lucky for our stroller that was parked in the rain. There at least wasn't anything important in the stroller getting wet. So when we were done we just bought a poncho to cover the stroller with and for the kids to sit on.
Thanks to the rain...we called it a night. No fun walking around and riding rides in the rain...if they were even running in the rain. Not to mention...we had pretty much done all there is to do earlier in the week thankfully!
