phew...

After much deliberation, we decided to go ahead and have the fetal echo (ultrasound of baby's heart) done to rule out any congenital heart defects. And honestly, it was probably the fastest visit I have ever had in that office. Dr. J was right on time (as always I guess), and since everything was NORMAL, the ultrasound itself was pretty quick too!

He started by telling us that the right side of the heart is more irregularly shaped early on and that is how you distinguish the right heart from the left heart. But when he started with irregularly shaped, we thought we were headed down a different path. But it was just his way of explaining how they know the right things are in the right place. He did involve Rowan a little bit by showing the baby in 4D. She perked up when she heard the heartbeat again, it was 150 today! Everything looked fine altogether. Baby's head is up (technically breech), but it's feet were up too, so folded in half essentially. Lots of time for that head to move south though, I hope!

After a clean bill of health, no follow up needed with Dr. J!
Happy 29th Birthday to Me, and 29.1 weeks for Baby!

I'm glad all is well with the little one in there. Does he/she have a name like Herm did?

Yay for a clean bill of health! I'm sure that was scary for you all. Now you can concentrate on other things, like names ;) I like Ed;)
