Friday full of fun

The deer damage in daylight...quite embarrassing driving this hoopdy around; we wonder what people are saying about us when they drive by. But we are thankful it is drivable!

Started the morning talking to the insurance agent and filing a claim on an app on my phone where you take pictures of the app and they send you a quote. Definite issues with that system in that the quote they sent us wasn't even for our vehicle...but we will deal with that later.

Started our morning with breakfast with Great Grandma Jan! Chuck, Meg and Viv met us as well!

Can't forget the visitor outside of the kids window this morning...little bunny.

After breakfast we headed to a park for the kids to play. And Jenna and the boys (Carter and Peyton) met us there!! So fun to catch up with everyone!

After our fun at the park...we decided a lunch of Whitey's ice cream was appropriate. And Grandma Jan was totally on board!

Then we headed back to Grandma Jan's to visit for a bit and pack up to head to our next destination of IA. Before that we looked through some old pictures with Grandma Jan and also visited Great Papa's workshop. Just isn't what it used to bed!

Shortly after lunch we were on the road again...in our beat up Ford Explorer.

 

We met Dusty, Julie and Hudson at the hotel and checked in. Then headed over to Great Grandpa Dicks house to start getting stuff ready for the birthday party tomorrow. Keith and Sheryl arrived sooner than anticipated but due to their long drive from CO, they headed to bed. So we finished up our visit and then headed back to the hotel for pool time.

Us ladies did make an appearance in the pool but it was short lived...water wasn't the warmest. But the kids and men kept themselves entertained for a short while before bedtime.
