new addition

So...2 days in a nutshell...

Monday I went out and did some car shopping. Looked at an Acadia, a Pathfinder and an Explorer! Went home that afternoon set on an Explorer. Ed drove the truck to work and decided we should take it in for a quote on what is exactly wrong with it, and then we decide what to do.

So Tuesday late morning I had it looked at, and it needed rear brakes replaced and front ball joints, which was quoted for $650! We were saying if it were around $300 we would take the chance and replace it, but that is more than we wanted to put into it not knowing what would go wrong next!

The next step was to take the Tucsan to CarMax and have it appraised again...$1200! Same amount as last July, which we were happy with. So Ed got home from work around 4pm and we decided to go look at the Explorers as a family so that if we needed to get one from a different location we would have it in a couple days. Well...4 hours later, we were leaving in a brand new Explorer! The kids really did great considering we had to entertain them unfed for quite a while. Nothing a little soda and candy can't tie over.
