swingin' in the shade
I guess it isn't swinging in the shade when there is no sun! Only in Wisconsin, another pants and long sleeves day in June! Although it is perfect for Eddie. Not too hot, don't need to stay out of the sun, and perfect lighting for pictures!
Eddie really is a fan of the swing. When his sister shares it with him!
Rowan is rather obsessed with swinging. She always wants to go 'too fast', which in her English means really fast/really high.
Tonight she was all about pushing her brother herself though. She did a great job. And apparently she was pushing an imaginary item in the blue swing at the same time!

R.A.S.
Just a little Rowan update!
Potty training has been going pretty well. Saturday night she was playing too hard on the swingset with McKenna and decided it wasn't important to go inside and pee. So we had a couple accidents then. But otherwise, she did pretty well most of the weekend. I have finally gotten her to wear big girl underwear too. So we then can only need sometimes one pull up a day. She sometimes wakes from her nap dry!
Our friendly mosquitos seem to be joining us now too. Rowan came in with 3 bites Saturday night as well. And her body doesn't tolerate them very well. Especially if she scratches them even the least bit. So we have spent the last few days putting hydrocortisone cream and bendadryl cream on her bites. You can see her puffy hand in the picture below as a result of a bite on her wrist!
And after this weekend, all Rowan asks for is her pool and McKenna! Ugh! And it has been too hot or too windy to take Eddie outside the last couple of days. So she generally needs to wait for her Daddy to get home so that one of us can stay inside with Eddie while one of us takes her outside!

Jessie n Bennett
Today my cousin Jessie and her little boy Bennett came up to visit us for a few hours. The kids did very well together. Bennett could have sat there all day and watched Rowan run around and do her thing. It was really cute! Otherwise, Jessie and I visited, we had some lunch, and then they were on their way home. It was Jessie and Chris' anniversary today too, so they had dinner plans she needed to be home for! I was 9 months pregnant with Rowan when Jessie and Chris got married! Memories!
Wish I could take credit for his photo of Bennett, but I can't. His photographer Mommy took it. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of the kids today! So I asked Jessie to share a picture of Bennett with me to use! Posts are so much better with pictures!

12 Weeks old
Eddie is getting too big too fast for me. I can't believe he is almost 3 months old! Before I know it he will be crawling! He is still too darn cute for words! Sure it following in his sisters footsteps!

pool weekend
This weekend was awesome. We were home all weekend and had wonderful weather. Saturday didn't jive too well with schedules for Rowan and McKenna. They napped at different times and therefore didn't get to play together until like 430pm.
But today, these 2 girls were outside and played their hearts out from 10am until 430pm. And no naps were had by either of them. And they didn't outwardly misbehave either. So us parents were back and forth between our yard with Rowan's pool/water table/sprinkler/swingset and McKenna's pool/slip n slide. Ava and Sophia (twin girls that live behind us) were sort of in and out both days. It was their 6th birthday today, so they were busy with tee ball and a party.
Rowan went down the slip and slide several times, but of course by the time I got the camera she was too cold and done. Thus using the slip n slide with the water turned off. Still a cute video. McKenna's daddy (Justin) was the videographer for me.
Even though it was a hot weekend, it was very relaxing that the kids had lots of fun. It's funny because it seems like one of us parents is always missing in order to tend to the babies. McKenna has a baby sister (Kendall) who was born just before Memorial Day. Ava and Sophia have a little brother, Griffin, who is 2 weeks older than Eddie. Hope we have more weekends like this in the near future. Except now that summer will be in full force, our weekend schedule seems to be filling up fast.
