just bad luck

Can't make this up...dead battery x2.

This evening, Ed and Eddie left around 5:10pm to head to Nag for hockey practice. The Explorer didn't start right the first time, but then started fine and off they went. Well, I got a call from Ed about 6:45p to come pick them up at Nag because the truck won't start. So Rowan and I went with the car to try to jump start the truck, and it was unsuccessful.

So we all got in the car, left the Explorer at Nag. Plan was to drop the kids off at home and Ed and I were to head to Auto Zone and buy a new battery for the truck. Well, we turned off the car, got the kids settled in the house, grabbed a water and were ready to go...BUT...then the car wouldn't start. PERFECT.

So, we got on the phone with Papa to see if he could bring us his vehicle to use to get new batteries for both of our cars at this point. We tried jumping the car with Papa's car (after pushing it out of the garage)...no go. So they took the car battery out, Ed and Papa went to Nag to look at the truck battery...attempted to jump the truck with Papa's truck, and success. So Ed drove the truck to Auto Zone, Papa followed him, they bought two new batteries and came back to our house to change them both out. You really cannot make this story up. We did end up taking the car to Nashotah Garage because the cars positive battery connection couldn't be tightened and needed to be replaced. But in the end we had two vehicles that would run finally. Nothing like sitting down for the night at 9pm.
