Hurray for Prego CMcR...

Here is a little background information before I start this post....

My dear friend from St. Joe's delivered her first child, Amelia, when she was only 23 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Amazing Amelia (March of Dimes team name) was a fighter and clearly survived her battle early on and is now 4 years old and doing awesome. Needless to say, this was a very stressful and emotional time for Cora and Jason. After much planning and preparation, Cora and Jason are expecting their 2nd child. This pregnancy has been very different for Cora, much more early on intervention and therefore she is now past 23 weeks and 4 days with minimal issue and another baby girl still in the womb.

So today, my girlfriends planned a party/gathering for all of us to get together and celebrate this emotional time of gestation that Cora has seen lurking around the corner. Instead of her sitting at home on modified bedrest re-living the day of Amelia's delivery alone, we celebrated it with all of us whom took care of the little peanut and have watched her grow. Of course Cora still had emotions to deal with, but now that the date is behind her, she is now counting down the many more days of being pregnant she will have with baby #2, also a girl if you didn't catch that earlier on.

So Amy opened her house to us Mommies and Kids, and we had a delightful lunch, and dessert and played outside and got to catch up. It was well worth the trip to see these fabulous caring ladies that I miss so much. And Rowan enjoyed her long lost friends as well, even if it did take some warming up for her to detach herself from my hip.
Thank you Amy for having us, we appreciate it!
