The Schaefer Wedding...

Sadly, our driving for the day wasn't over in Nashotah. We were on the road shortly after lunchtime heading to Racine for Ashley and Drew's wedding. Then we drove to downtown Milwaukee for an intermission before cocktails, appetizers and dinner.

Proud of how well we can clean up together!

My brother, sister and I.
Sisters.
The parents.
My neighbor and cousin at the dinner table. We were seated with Jessie/Chris, Laura/Eric, and Carly/Matt.
I was just trying to get a picture with Grandma Audrey, and all these ladies jumped in.
Other than this picture, this is where I was able to see Ashley most of the night. Living up their wedding night together.
The family!

on the road again...

Last night we travelled to Lyndon Station and spent the night with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Bill. Then this morning we loaded up to head the rest of the way to Nashotah by Nana and Papa. Rowan and Eddie had a blast checking out all of Nana's new toys for her knee rehab! They kept her and Papa busy all day playing games and what not while Ed and I headed to Ashley and Drew's wedding.

packages and road trips

These kids love nothing more than getting mail, especially packages. Today, Eddie got a package from The Gap (that Grandma Pam sent). He got a couple new shirts!
Then it was time to pack the car and head west to WI. While we are travelling, Gizmo frequently repositions himself....this time he decided he should sit right on top of Rowan. Too Cute.

Another painting project....

Great Grandma Goldie sent this wooden rocking chair home with Grandma Pam for Rowan a few weeks ago, and I finally got around to painting it. It was originally red, so the distressing shown through red in spots which I was okay with! Rowan got the wooden 'R' for her birthday from Andi...we finally got around to painting it. She painted it, I distressed and waxed it for her.

pj/wacky hair day

It is homecoming week this week, so the kids have dress up days every day this week. Today was pajama day and wacky hair/sock day. So they got their pajamas and crazy hair working this morning.

sunday in the sun

Today was a much more productive day around the house for myself...maybe not all of us though. The kids played outside for most of the day. They are lucky to have a fellow Packer fan across the street too! I tried to get a picture of all of them in Maddie's garage playing in their jersey's with their helmets on?? They are all too lazy to remove their helmets even if they aren't presently riding a bike or scooter...but by the time I got out there they were riding again. But cute all the same.
They played a bit inside this afternoon too! Eddie introduced Maddie to boy toys.
One of the things on my list of things to do was to make Eddie a pillow case. We bought the fabric a couple weeks ago, and it just sat there. I think because I was a bit nervous it would be difficult. But it wasn't bad at all. Turned out pretty good I think. Also got some painting done in the basement on some furniture that has been waiting for me. Touched up paint that I missed in the office too. Feels good to accomplish things. Then it was time for a run before the Packer games started!

soccer and Waldoch's

Today was picture day at soccer...sort of regretting this purchase, since I own a nicer camera than the lady that took the pictures! Ugh! Will see how they turn out. After they all smiled pretty, they did some drills. Eddie's coach doesn't think scrimmaging is appropriate for kids their age because they all run after the ball despite who's team they are on. My concern with that is....we get bored watching them play 'games', and I want Eddie to realize that soccer is more than drills, that you play a game on a team, against another team.
After soccer we headed home to do a few things, had lunch, checked out the model homes in the neighborhood because I am trying to get inspired to paint in the house! Then we headed to Lino Lakes to Waldoch Farm for the afternoon. There was a lot to do. We started with the hay ride to get pumpkins...then we checked out the animals, did the mini maze, played in the corn pit, shot corn on the cob out of an air gun, rode on bike carts, did an obstacle course and ate some kettle corn on our way home. Busy afternoon. Luckily the weather was pretty great.

Our kiddos!
The ladies on the hay ride!

When we got home from this afternoon of fun, Dad made us some homemade pasta for dinner. Tomato basil to be exact, with mushroom sauce and green beans. Was delish.
