first lake fire

We got to spend some time at the lake tonight, helping Nana and Papa some more, and burning some wood. This place surely is coming along. So many great memories to come in this new home.

Rowan spoiling her pup again...he's never too far away.  

Tonight we headed down to the Village park for the last night of Men's softball. Grandpa Kris and Uncle Kurt have been running this league for years, and the demand just isn't there anymore. I remember coming to the park multiple night a summer when my dad was playing still too. 

Peter subbed for Dan's team tonight, the rest of us watched and helped them finish up the booze. We didn't stay late, and they had to make a beer run before we were even gone. So many great memories running with my cousins on Friday nights while our Dad's played.

Since it was our last trip to the Chiropractor and summer is coming to a close, decided to finally take the kids to LeDuc's for ice cream. They approved.

This evening we met Eddie's teacher, Mrs. Hill. And he got his school picture taken. Dropped off his supplies as well. 

 You can see his nice shirt didn't even make it for the ride home.

Started with a picture of Rowan's new cut for school.

We were at the eye doctor today for the kids and myself. Not much new to share, neither of their eyes have changed enough to need new glasses. My eyes are still great since Lasik just over a year ago. I had to have my eyes dilated and these were the sunglasses they provide...thankfully I had my own. 

Then, after the eye MD, we stopped home to load up Rowan's supplies and headed to the middle school for the open house. Rowan put all her supplies in the appropriate places, got her locker ready to go, even opened it successfully several times.

Then we caught up with our good friends, Reese, Chase, Sydney and Kelly.

Since we have been gone for hours and hours, and Ed is at golf. We hit up DQ for a snack and dessert for dinner. Yum Yum.

follow up

Gizmo has been pretty status quo. We had one more weekend where we had two nights in a row where we had to give him his tranquilizer medication to calm down his wheezing...but has been good since. Crossing our fingers are will be better with the heat of summer winding down.

Daddy daughter dinner

Grandma Julie is gone for the weekend, so Dad invited us ladies out for dinner. Of course to his favorite place, but you don't have to ask us twice. We had a before dinner drink, saw a few familiar faces like always, and then a delicious chicken dinner. Great night catching up.

Lumber Axe

Tonight we got to have dinner at Cafe Hollander with Chris and Kelly and catch up. Then we headed to Lumber Axe for a night of fun. Lots of beer flavors to choose from and axes, what can go wrong?

It was a great time!! 

Thankfully no action shots of myself...but we got the hang of it.

long day with a beautiful ending

Eddie's friends were visiting today in our front yard. 

Nana and Papa close on their Nashotah house in a couple days, so it was move in day at the Lake!! The kids and I headed over to help them unpack a bit and brought them dinner. We got to enjoy dinner and the sunset on the patio.

I slaved over the stove by picking up some Chinese take out. No one complained. 

Even bought extra for my husband for after golf. We are busy working and he is playing golf. Peter subbed for Papa tonight, so they're having fun for sure. 

 Papa's fortune...seems rigged.

These kids have worked their butts off this weekend. Sadly they couldn't pull out first place. But finished in 2nd place. Pretty awesome considering all the new kids they were playing with this weekend.  

 Heading home with hardware isn't a bad thing!
