sad days filled with sunshine

Gizmo had a rough night last night. He has had a 'floppy' airway for a couple years now. But last night, he just couldn't catch his breathe. So for the first time ever we had to give him the tranquilizer medication they gave us a couple months ago. It definitely helped his breathing, eventually. But knocked him out. He was like a drunk dog that could barely walk. We gave it at like 9pm last night, it took a bit to kick in, but then all was good. He is still feeling the effects of it this morning. We had Nana and Papa over for some cribbage, and Twiggy came too...so thought it was the over excitement possibly. So no more dog visits from here on out for this old man.

The whole situation has us all scared. Not sure if this is a sign of what is to come.
Since Gizmo is doing okay this morning, we headed out on the lake again today. Nice and sunny out.
After some fun in the sun, we headed to Mazatlan for dinner. We got to eat outside and enjoy some margaritas. Ed decided to let the waitress surprise him and she came through with a mango/raspberry. Delish!! And I'm not a big frozen margarita lover.
Kids living the high life!
Gizmo was good all day long...but for some reason tonight, something triggered his wheezing and bad breathing yet again. So after trying to let him figure it out for a bit, we medicated again. This time it took what seemed like forever for the medication to kick in. But once again, once it did. He was good to go. Relaxed for the night now and breathing fine.
