FL bound...

We...along with the other half of the Knutson family, are FL bound for my cousin Peter's wedding. We were all on the flight together...pretty fun.

Papa provided us with some Southwest drink tickets...so Ed and I indulged. We are kids free for a few days, have to enjoy while we can.

We rented a car with Amanda and Peter. We ended up with a Nissan...that liked to drive itself. It would pull Ed back into a lane if he didn't have his blinker on, and would back him away from a car if he was tailgating too close. Super annoying for us offensive drivers. 

 And before you knew it, we were by the pool. We did stop for some groceries, more so snacks and beverages...but we are stocked for our trip now.

 Can you tell we are from WI...all pasty and soaking up as much sun as possible.

 The group...Dan and Jenny come tomorrow night. Grandma is here too, but she is staying with Tim and Jean.

Tim, Adam, Nick, Chelsea, Peter and Brooke brought us some appetizer spreads for dinner. Wings and apps, it was perfect and delicious. 

And of course...the kids are doing just fine with Nana and Papa. Rowan got to the chiropractor...Mrs. Amy got in the picture.

Then Nana and Papa were subject to games and entertaining of the kids before bed and school tomorrow.

Appears there was no shortage of snacks either.

Quite a change of surroundings in WI vs MI this weekend...they still have snow piles. 

Evictors scrimmage in MI

Quite the interesting set up at this rink...there was an upstairs viewing thankfully because the glass was so scratched up you couldn't see through it. So people were having to stand at the top of the stands to see anything. And it was very cold in there too. 

 So since we were in an upstairs area, also behind glass; the pictures are a bit far away. 

 We had a break between games, so we went to the local A&W for a drive up lunch.

 I did some walking between games/periods. Sporting my Evictors gear. 

 Quite a bit of snow left up here in MI compared to back in WI.

The boys played better in game 2 since the first game was the first time they had all ever played together. 

 I guess he is tired after a couple games. Good idea for the ride home to WI!

Iron Mountain MI

 We made the trek to Iron Mountain this evening...started with some Mexican at a local authentic restaurant...

Then, since we had time to spare, and it was right next door, we took the kids bowling!

 Very competitive game we had.

And of course, had to hit up the pool for a quick swim before bed too.

Why are we in MI you ask...hockey, what else? First Evictors tournament this weekend! Eddie was invited to play on this team...and this is a 'scrimmage' that we thought would be local. But nope, 2 games, in MI.

fun with family

Started with a quick nail session since we are busy this weekend and Ed and I are heading to FL early next week. 

Stoudt's joined us for dinner tonight, along with Gramps and Grannie. A little fun outside for Blake. 

 And Eddie is Lukes new bestie...this kid sure took a liking to this little cutie the day he was born.

birthday donations

For Eddie's birthday party this year, in lieu in gifts, we asked the kids to bring a toy or item from the  Children's Hospital of WI Wish list...he got quite a bag full of fun things to donate. He got a certificate for his donation as well.
