soccer and wine

Thankfully this was the last week of soccer...because it was pretty brisk this morning. Would've worn furry boots but didn't want them to get wet so just added liners to the Hunter boots.
Rowan and I staying warm.
After soccer it was home to do a few things around the house before getting ready to go play with Jessica for her bachelorette party. We headed to a couple wineries then back to her place for some food and games and gifts. Then I came home while she and her girls hit the Blue Heron in town.
This guy was in one of the winery bathrooms, too cute to not take a selfie with him.

no school = fun friday

Today we played with our friends down the road, Brooklyn and Dylan. For lunch we had mummy dogs! Kids loved it. Both the making and eating part.
The best part was that us Mommy's got to chat and catch up too. And we tried a new BLT salad with homemade dressing. Success on both accounts.

just another wednesday

The eye owie is now scabbed over...thankfully.
Rowan moved up to Flips 3 this week! So she now does 1 hour and 25 minutes on Wednesday nights instead of Thursdays. Rowan is at the top of the ropes in the middle of the picture way in back...she is a professional rope climber now.
And she loves the bars...but tonight she left class with 4 'rips' on her hands. Jeesh.
While we were at gymnastics...Eddie and Ed opened the bag of Halloween candy...apparently Eddie just wanted 1!

busy tuesday

6 month dentist visit for Eddie. He graduated to trays for fluoride this time. I was a bit nervous he would gag on them...but he was a rock star even suctioning his own mouth.
Skating lessons tonight...
Finally Mom got a package...Grandma Pam was at it again! New Packer gear!
While playing outside after school today...Eddie fell while running, into the street and forgot to put his hands down and caught himself with his face. Yikes. Had a bandaid on all evening and at skating...but getting some air after bathing tonight.

balmy sunday

The kids were lucky enough to get to bike to the park with the neighbors today!

And then they got ice cream cones too!
Then it was time to cool off and watch the Packers!
While they were out playing...I was busy unpacking and straightening up for the week to come.

family time...

This morning, I did some painting at my dad's while Ed got the kids. We all hung out for a bit, then headed over to check out Great Grandma Audrey's new apartment. She moved in last weekend, so she is still unpacking and getting organized. We helped Uncle Tim and Jean a bit...visited for a bit, and then headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's for lunch.
After lunch, Petey arrived (he was working some overtime) and walked the kids down to the Chocolate Factory for a quick treat before we headed home.
Late afternoon we headed back to Nana and Papa's to pick up Gizmo and head home. Originally we were going to stay until Sunday, but we decided we would like to get home and enjoy the weather tomorrow. And the Packer game. So we headed home.

This is how they looked very shortly into the trip.
I guess all their fun times with family this weekend wore them out.

The Schaefer Wedding...

Sadly, our driving for the day wasn't over in Nashotah. We were on the road shortly after lunchtime heading to Racine for Ashley and Drew's wedding. Then we drove to downtown Milwaukee for an intermission before cocktails, appetizers and dinner.

Proud of how well we can clean up together!

My brother, sister and I.
Sisters.
The parents.
My neighbor and cousin at the dinner table. We were seated with Jessie/Chris, Laura/Eric, and Carly/Matt.
I was just trying to get a picture with Grandma Audrey, and all these ladies jumped in.
Other than this picture, this is where I was able to see Ashley most of the night. Living up their wedding night together.
The family!
