4 Months old

Statistics
Weight: 17 pounds 3 ounces (95th percentile)
Height: 26.5 inches (95th percentile)
Head: 44 cm (95th percentile)
What is Eddie doing now?
*Eat his hands a lot

*Grabs at things, especially faces

*Can grab his toes, but can't quite get them to him mouth (might be because of those thin thighs)

*Talks/Coos a lot

*Hasn't rolled over yet, in either direction (but is close to rolling from back to front)

*Wearing 3-6 month or 6 month clothing

*Size 2 diapers (that will probably change soon though based on his weight)

*Takes 4-6 ounces of Similac Sensitive about 6 times a day

*Not even close to sleeping through the night. According to the Pediatrician, his sleep is normal, but I would like more consecutive hours during the night! Generally he is up once between 12 and 2a, and then again between 5 and 6a. But that 5 and 6a is just too early to be up for the day. If it is 5a, he will generally go back to sleep for a couple hours (perfect!), but if it is 6a, he is usually awake!

*We have not started rice cereal yet, but the Pediatrician has said we can start anytime now

*Such a Smiley guy! He really is a happy baby, usually only fusses if he is hungry or tired, or maybe needing a change of scenery!

1st puking on

You will all be glad to know, and probably surprised, I don't have any pictures to share along with this post!

Rowan was up and not well all night last night. She would wake up crying out of a dead sleep. Toss and turn. Wake up again, and so on, all night long. Therefore, not much sleep was had by her and I. Then this morning her fever started at 100.9 and peaked at 102.2. She had some chocolate milk, but nothing to eat. When I finally was able to get a bowl of cereal for myself, she was willing to take a couple bites. Bad idea. And minutes later, she was whining on my lap and puking all over the two of us! Needless to say somehow I managed to get the 2 of us to the bathroom without dripping puke all over. And then by some other grace of god, got her in the bath tub and cleaned up and all our clothes rinsed out and into the washer without puking myself.

Then somehow after a short nap and some more Tylenol, she was miraculously cured by 3pm. Thank god! Yes, this was the first big kid puke we have dealt with in this house. Good thing Ed was at work, or he'd have been puking too!

Baby Tetzlaff's Shower

Eddie and I attended Casey's Baby Shower while Ed and Rowan went swimming at the Swan residence with Aaron, Breyson and Sawyer! It was a very nice shower. Baby Tetz got lots of nice things. Casey might actually look a little pregnant, barely. And Eddie got loved by many, as usual! After the shower we headed home to finish celebrating Rowan's birthday!

If I haven't already mentioned this on the blog, Casey (my cousine/BFF) and Jake are expecting a baby girl in October! And they are officially engaged (as of July 4th)! Good times ahead!

Happy 3rd Birthday Rowan!

Poor girl didn't have a huge party today, with the entire day dedicated to her birth, but we tried to make her feel special. She doesn't quite understand birthdays and parties and days yet anyway, but that doesn't matter.
This morning we sang Happy Birthday to Rowan over her cinnamon roll breakfast, complete with candles (that we had to light twice because she wanted to blow them out again) We were then packing up to head to Pewaukee for Aunt Casey's baby shower and swimming. Then after returning home and having dinner, we had a big cookie and sang again and blew out candles again. And shared our cookie with our neighbor friends that were out tonight!
She got a gift to open today as well (we were going to wait for her party at the end of the month, but Mom felt guilty not having something for her to open on her actual birthday)
Can't leave out the cute little brother!
3 year stats and likes/dislikes to come with doctor appointment visit next week!
