winners...

Lots of happenings in the last week.

Rowan won shake of the day at John and Cindy's house after dinner Saturday night.
Just another baseball game - Eddie crossing home plate.
Evidence of the things Eddie wears to school. Some battles just aren't worth fighting.
Megan and Luke at dinner Saturday night.
Clearly the chicken was ok...Eddie and Mom killed it.
We saw a rainbow at baseball tonight - boys played in some rain, made a huge comeback, but couldn't quite pull off a win.
Nana got Piper and Twiggy matching hats for boating...but Piper's is a little small. How embarrassing.
Finally fully vaccinated - ready to take on the world. Ha!

week recap of fun

Baseball in full swing - a team mom is a photographer and shared a couple shots she took from a game.
Rowan and Sydney found some fun with a sprinkler and the trampoline on a warm day.
Then we had some Mazatlan appetizers...and margs.
First baseman #4
I planted flowers in the planters out front finally.
Twiggy came for another visit - Piper is her shadow.

it's May

Twiggy visited for a bit - and survived just fine.
Took Papa for a late Birthday breakfast - perfect dessert for him. Ham steak with a candle.
More baseball - but man did it cool off when the sun went down. Brrr...
Piper actually does lay in her bed every once in awhile.

Another split weekend in MN

Another weekend in MN with both kids teams playing.

Back in Bloomington area at least, a bit closer than Duluth.

Both Ed and I are attempting to make it to as many games as possible. With one car, Ed coaching, etc.
Even Eddie got to watch Rowan play a game this weekend.
Piper spent the weekend with Grandpa and Grandma! He seemed to favor Grandpa, but when Grandpa was outside doing some yard work, Grandma finally got some attention.

A new cricut project add
Didn't bring home any hardware this weekend, just memories, fun times and lots of ice time.

Moline to Duluth - 2nd place

We put on a few miles this weekend!

Started by sending Eddie off with Lane and family to Duluth Friday morning for a hockey tournament (thank you Grandpa Kris for taking him to breakfast and entertaining him until they left)

While they were doing that, Ed, Rowan and I headed to Moline for Grandma Jan's funeral. We met Dusty at Applebee's for lunch and then headed to the funeral home.
Given it's been a couple months since her passing - thanks to Covid - the processional and service was short. We opted not to stay for lunch knowing we had a 7+ hour drive to Duluth ahead of use.
First time meeting Callan in person!
Uncle Ted photo bombing the cousin picture.
Surprisingly, we made it to Duluth in time to catch most of the boys 8pm game.

The next day, the kids were able to tour the UMD Bulldogs facility.
Pretty cool to see the set up and things available to them.

Of course there was swimming at one point, lots of screen time in between games to keep them 'resting'. Pretty great view from our hotel room too.
The boys played great, but couldn't pull off another championship game win, and ended in second place.
More Duluth views.
Showing sportsmanship!
This is what a ride home after a long weekend looks like. This is about the only time this kids naps.
