Moline to Duluth - 2nd place

We put on a few miles this weekend!

Started by sending Eddie off with Lane and family to Duluth Friday morning for a hockey tournament (thank you Grandpa Kris for taking him to breakfast and entertaining him until they left)

While they were doing that, Ed, Rowan and I headed to Moline for Grandma Jan's funeral. We met Dusty at Applebee's for lunch and then headed to the funeral home.
Given it's been a couple months since her passing - thanks to Covid - the processional and service was short. We opted not to stay for lunch knowing we had a 7+ hour drive to Duluth ahead of use.
First time meeting Callan in person!
Uncle Ted photo bombing the cousin picture.
Surprisingly, we made it to Duluth in time to catch most of the boys 8pm game.

The next day, the kids were able to tour the UMD Bulldogs facility.
Pretty cool to see the set up and things available to them.

Of course there was swimming at one point, lots of screen time in between games to keep them 'resting'. Pretty great view from our hotel room too.
The boys played great, but couldn't pull off another championship game win, and ended in second place.
More Duluth views.
Showing sportsmanship!
This is what a ride home after a long weekend looks like. This is about the only time this kids naps.
