gotta be like his sister

Poor Eddie gets sucked into doing whatever his sister is doing. But the reality is, he loves it. And she loves that he wants to play with her. So he wears lots of heels and wings. He thinks he is the coolest clopping around the kitchen in those plastic heels. So Silly.

1st time in salon

Rowan got to get pampered in the salon with me today! I had an appointment to get my haircut and colored today, so I decided to finally just take Rowan with me instead of cutting it myself, or waiting for Casey to be home again. And Rowan did quite well. She got a little antsy near the end, but 2 hours is a long time in a non-kid friendly place. She even got a pink extension put in. That was even Ed's idea! Pretty cool.

can't get enough

...of the snow. Kids would be out there constantly if we let them. Except, it usually isn't very warm out there. So we have to limit out time. Tried to get Eddie to eat some snow today, he wasn't a fan. He liked touching it though, and then didn't want his mittens back on. Which meant it was time to go in. Gizmo of course loves racing around in the white stuff as well. Which leads to snow balls all over the house and he thaws out.

measurable snow

Well, we got plenty of snow today to make a snowman! So we headed out to clean up the driveway and have some fun before we got too cold. It was hard to pull the kids around in their sleds with the snow so deep. But we managed, and I got a work out in the meantime. Then Dad helped build quite the snowman. Ava and Sophia were out playing and helped us as well.

Santa Float

Tonight the Neenah-Menasha Fire Department came around our neighborhood with Santa on a float. He even had his reindeer with him. We got to see McKenna, Kendall and Angela too. When it gets cold around here, we all hibernate and don't see each other much. So the kids had fun running around waiting for Santa to drive by our house.

st. nick

Ed has been gone all week in Texas/Mexico for work, but good ole St. Nick still found the kids. The kids were thrilled to open a few gifts. And couldn't believer that Rudy was hanging out in Gizmo's stocking.

Rudy made it...

We were starting to think our Elf, Rudy, got lost this year! But she was just fashionably late.
We had some issues with our Christmas tree this year. We put it up the weekend after Thanksgiving, and it had a string of lights out. So we ended up replacing it. Apparently in the commotion of that, I failed to take any pictures of the kids decorating the tree. Therefore I decided that Rudy's appearance was my chance to take their picture in front of the new tree. I was hoping to change up the tree decor this year, but since the tree had to be replaced, I decided the new decorations will go into next years budget. So we just went with our personal ornaments this year, no flowers or ribbon or any of that.
And this is what I got when I tried to take their picture in front of the tree. Yikes! Not exactly what I was hoping for, but memories none the less.
They cooperated on their own, just not together at the same time.
The bad lighting didn't help the cause. I got over it though.
Here are the crazy kids during lunch on the same day. The new food of choice in our house has been macaroni and cheese. In the past we didn't buy Kraft, we were strictly homemade mac and cheese people. But due to the high demand, we have turned to our friend Kraft. Eddie seriously eats half a box on his own.
Then there are the Dannon Smoothies....we should perhaps buy some stock in them as well.
