Baby Tetzlaff's Shower

Eddie and I attended Casey's Baby Shower while Ed and Rowan went swimming at the Swan residence with Aaron, Breyson and Sawyer! It was a very nice shower. Baby Tetz got lots of nice things. Casey might actually look a little pregnant, barely. And Eddie got loved by many, as usual! After the shower we headed home to finish celebrating Rowan's birthday!

If I haven't already mentioned this on the blog, Casey (my cousine/BFF) and Jake are expecting a baby girl in October! And they are officially engaged (as of July 4th)! Good times ahead!

Happy 3rd Birthday Rowan!

Poor girl didn't have a huge party today, with the entire day dedicated to her birth, but we tried to make her feel special. She doesn't quite understand birthdays and parties and days yet anyway, but that doesn't matter.
This morning we sang Happy Birthday to Rowan over her cinnamon roll breakfast, complete with candles (that we had to light twice because she wanted to blow them out again) We were then packing up to head to Pewaukee for Aunt Casey's baby shower and swimming. Then after returning home and having dinner, we had a big cookie and sang again and blew out candles again. And shared our cookie with our neighbor friends that were out tonight!
She got a gift to open today as well (we were going to wait for her party at the end of the month, but Mom felt guilty not having something for her to open on her actual birthday)
Can't leave out the cute little brother!
3 year stats and likes/dislikes to come with doctor appointment visit next week!

homeward bound

day 4, the end is near

Hard to believe this is our last full day of fun in the sun before heading home. We have had beautiful weather while we have been here. Only rained for 30 minutes one evening. The days were warm, the nights cool, good food, good friends, good family! Not ready to return to reality!

the Great's

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Blodgett came to the lake for the day to visit today. They got to enjoy the kids a bit and watch them play. It was very nice to see them. Of course the Diva wasn't willing to sit for a picture with both of them together, so I got what I could!

Fishing fools

So the whole reason Ed was excited to go up north was for the fishing (well the week off too) and he was out every morning around 6am for a few hours. The catching wasn't the best (he had 2 keepers, that we ate) but he got his time in for sure. Doug showed him how to clean the fish, and he did a little work on a fish of his own.
Ed even got Rowan's fishing pole from last year all ready for fishing, except Rowan refused to get in a boat, so she didn't actually go fishing. Just casted from the pier a few times and reeled it back in. Eddie played in the sand with his toes a little bit today. He didn't do much of any swimming because it was generally too sunny to have him in the water. But he was fine with that.
