We have a new skinny flocked tree for the upstairs...and will put our previous tree in the basement now that we have room. Grandma and Grandpa helped us out a few weeks back and found me a steal of a tree at Menards - they even picked it up for us. Then, at the Harvest Home day after thanksgiving shopping, I accidentally found a bunch of new tree decor. And I finally found something to use as a tree skirt. Ended up with a cream blanket from Target. Loving the new look.
Nov 30th was follow up collarbone day. Updated X-Ray shows lots of healing - but it isn't complete. The MD recommends 4 more weeks of no contact - but he can return to all other activities. We have allowed Eddie on the ice already, but without contact. Technically - 4 more weeks is December 27th. We will have a family meeting to discuss our plan moving forward - Eddie is really itching to get back at it. Wednesday, November 30, 2022

Thanksgiving weekend recap
Why wouldn't we spend a weekend of no hockey games in the rink??
A few families got together and bought some ice time (because it was cheap since most people don't want to skate on a Holiday) and we had a parents vs kids matchup. I helped supervise from the penalty box.
After the ice, we headed home to shower and then joined the family at Grandma and Grandpa Ks house for a lovely evening meal. Kids decorated some gingerbread men too.
Day after thanksgiving, Granny, Amanda and I made it to the green sale at Harvest home. Kids did some crafts. Row ha da game over the weekend, and of course we hit up some open skate too (with Eddie returning from his injury, his skates were too small, so he had some new skates he was dying to break in)

Hockey girls unite
Today was Girls Hockey day, so after breakfast out with Nana and Papa, and a few other things around the house, we spent the afternoon at Mullett supporting some LCW teams.
Our girls play at 3:45p vs Janesville Fury.
This was Jess's team, so it was emotional. We started the game with a moment of silence. You can see the neon green sign on the Fury bench representing #45.
Ella Swenson (her brother Ben plays with Eddie) and Rowan were cordial on the ice and had fun.
Caitlin, Brynn and Heidi came to watch the girls too.
That doesn't end the fan crew, Casey and the kids came, Jesse and Ethan, and our normal fans (Karen, Doug and Don, Grandma and Grandpa, Nana and Papa)
Rowan had another goal from the point on Defense, and LCW pulled out another win.

busy week
Only in WI is it 70 one week, and snowing the next in November.
Finally got real pictures for MJA!! Turned out great. Can't wait to get this kid back on the ice.
Rowan was at the orthodontist for her second to last appointment, but the MD managed to find a potential cavity on a molar - which may delay removal. Have to get Rowan into dentist to have the tooth evaluated for cavity, because if it need a filling it would affect her retainer. Stay tuned.
Rowan, Quinn and Sydney got together this week to put together pictures for Jess's Arrangements. We play Jess's team, the Fury next weekend, so hoping to get this to the Cole family for delivery. And Piper was in for a pre-holiday grooming. So cute and comfy.

Remembering and 2 Wins
Sadly, a fellow hockey teammate from spring (Jess Steiner) took her own life last week.
She played on Tuskers in Spring with Rowan and a few girls from her current team.
Very sad day for the world of girls hockey.
LCW hockey was busy with two games - Washington County in the morning and MWC in the evening. Thankfully we took home two wins.
