Tourney time - in Hartford

We learned all about baseball tournaments this weekend.

Our first one for baseball. This one ended up being just one day - and it was a toasty one. Thankfully we had a tent and cart to pull all of our goods in for the day. We were able to set up our space and move it to each diamond as we played.
The boys played very well. Ended up in the championship game at 630pm.
We even saw and played our old neighbors from Neenah, the Kok family.

Griffin and Eddie are the same age.
Mom's bruise from playing catch with Eddie last weekend. I looked away for a minute and he threw the ball. Thankfully it was my knee and not my face.
The boys pulled off second place. And it was an exciting championship game. The ump left the game because a coach was complaining about a call. I had to head home and start setting up for a baby shower I was hosting the next morning, but heard all about it from Ed, Eddie and Rowan.
More waves of sportsmanship throughout the day.
Trying to stay cool
Well, baseball tournaments are definitely different than hockey, especially on a hot day. We had plenty of snacks, supported the local baseball team concessions, escaped for a meal for some a/c in the car, and the boys had a blast.
