back to NY

We got together for a last minute Ice cream trip with the family before Uncle Mitch and Gabby head back to New York. They plan to drive back this week; and return for a family wedding in October. Silly kiddos.

never left out

Piper laid in her dog bed long enough for a picture today! She is fine sleeping on the floor, but is generally being snuggled on the couch honestly. But she has no idea what dog beds are for. 

Evidence she is fine with the floor...sometimes she sleeps on the rug in my office, sometimes the wood floor, sometimes the blanket. She moves around often. 

Girl needs a haircut...she can barely see. 

She even made the cut to join the kids in their fort while playing NHL on Xbox.

The kids finally were able to bring a friend out on the lake today! 

Eddie and Patrick, Rowan and Sydney. 

Aubrey and Zach joined us all as well. 

Got some good action shots of tubing...Patrick is the only one that never fell off. 

Ed commented on a twitter post by the Red Wings...and they created this for Eddie.

Just hangin' out with Piper. Fun day with friends is exhausting even for Piper. She made a few new friends also. 

Anniversary week

Piper is learning what to do with her snuffle mat...other than chew the rubber corner off. 

She found some treats!

Rowan's arm is looking angry after squeezing some nastiness out a few days ago...we will apply heat and watch it and try to get more out of it. 

Just another TikTok...totally normal.

Piper has learned she likes to hang her head out the window, only if we aren't going too fast. 

Piper's first Vet visit! She weighed in at 8 pounds, has gained a pound each week. Everything checked out well. Seems we are right on track with potty training, eating, gaining weight. She got a few vaccines. And we will be back in about a month for the next round and Rabies. 

She was such a good girl.

Our anniversary was on Wednesday, which is my half day. The kids and I had plans to run some errands, and Ed has his plans messed with because of it. Cut our errands short so we could be home for our surprise DoorDash Panda Express lunch delivery. It was pretty tasty!!

another weekend

Not sure why our family keeps having these weird skin things....we thought Rowan had a couple moluscum like Eddie has...but then we were able to squeeze stuff out of them. So, thinking it is a bug bite of some nature? So weird. 

Piper enjoyed a nice afternoon nap. 

Then Sunday, we got out on the lake again. Piper actually swam a little bit. The first time she was in the lake, there wasn't really any swimming motion from her legs. But today she moved and paddled. Poor thing looks like a drown rat when she is wet! She tolerated it better today, relaxed a little bit with Ed at one point...and had a great nap as well. 

So did Papa...

Celebrating 14 years on the 14th (instead of 19th)

Ed organized a lovely dinner at home, prepared by himself and the kids, and served by the kids. 

Super creative and fun. Minus being stuck outside with Piper for an hour while they prepped and cooked, but the wait was worth it. Great food, wine and company.
