work before play!
This morning I finally got to Abrahamson's Nursery to get 16 replacement plants/shrubs for mostly the north and south sides of the house; as well as a few others. This one in the front we are giving another year to come back...we will see how that goes.
Once the work was done, it was time to head out on the lake and enjoy the sun...with friends. Rowan got to bring her friend Katie along for the day...and we met Ben, Diane, and TJ out on the lake.
Diane and I tried to enjoy the splash pad while the kids were entertained...didn't last long.
Tubing!
I think the tube was screaming with 4 kids on it...but they survived.
Taught Ben and Diane the solo cup game!
Many breaks for snacks throughout the day.
Selfies galore!
Then pizza dinner...complete with apple juice in fancy glasses! Totally normal!

last run for the waterslide
Great day to spend at home working on the rib recipe and giving our waterslide a last ditch effort!
As you can see...it is struggling to stay up on the top. Which is why we decided this would be a last use day. Once the kids were on it and using it, it stayed up a bit better. It is just well used, and the seams aren't good and the air doesn't hold quite so well anymore. Kayla and Mason joined the kids on the slide too! First time and last use for them.
Kids even tried out some spike ball!
Ribs look delish!
Low carb dinner for tonight...drinkin our carbs!Sunday, July 22, 2018
oh boy...
Thank you to Casey...who insisted on Eddie taking home this gigantic fish pillow. He loves it...but I can see why she was more than willing to pawn it off on good hands. Helped him to sleep the ride home I guess.
We had our deck stained...and it looks so good! We did the dirty work of pressure washing and deck washing (pretty much just me)...and paid someone to do the staining.

wow, what a Saturday!
We drove to Pewaukee last night...and had a laundry list of people to see today!
Started visiting the Tetzlaff clan...pretty much woke the kids up!
Finally got to see their home in Pewaukee!
Then we were off to visit Great Grandma Audrey. We stopped and picked her up a plant and some treats on the way! After our visit there, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's so that the kids could swim!
Wasn't a long one...since it wasn't hot out and the water wasn't warm. But can't pass up an open pool.
Rowan had a few more lingering birthday presents to open...with Blake's help.
Rowan is such a good big cousin! She loves Blake!
She even got to feed him some baby food before we headed to the Brewer game! Then we were off to tailgate, with fingers crossed that the rain would hold out.
We did manage to have most of our tailgate time, rain drop free. But we did have to lower our tent a couple times to stay dry.
The family...minus Mitchell.
Me and my sis!
I think I look a little damp!
We had Bundt cakes for Rowan's birthday...DELISH!
Grandpa and Grandma K.
My favorite family of 4!
I am pretty sure they tried everything possible on the menu at Miller Park!
Stuck with these crazies for life!
So much fun at the game together...Blake was such a trooper! And we made it through the entire game.
