MSP fun

We got to head downtown Minneapolis and meet up with Kelly and Maddy! They were in town for a volleyball tournament and sadly our schedules didn't work for us to make a game or them to make a hockey game...but we did get to meet for lunch. 

Some how Ed got us in right away to sit for lunch too...someone else didn't show up when their name was called so he said he would take and and next thing you know we are sitting while many others are waiting1

We headed back to check out their hotel room and then they were on their way back to Moline.

We had stopped at Revolution sports to waste time before meeting for lunch...and we are all set for some batting practice!

Hudson WI

The tournament continued in Hudson WI today...

A couple losses later and we were done for the weekend sadly...definitely a different showing than last weekend. You never know which team each association is sending to tournaments...so we may have been playing their top players and last weekend our top team may have been playing their bottom team. Either way, more experiences on the ice are never a bad thing, you can't win them all.

We found time to head downtown Hudson for lunch in between games today. And we found a great restaurant.

Another weekend of hockey...this weekend he played with the other MG team...they needed players so we agreed. But man is this a different showing...this is the 'bottom'/younger players. Nana and Papa came to watch this weekend!

Poetry, painting and punch

I got to join Eddie at school today to hear him read a poem he wrote, see his artwork and enjoy some cookies and punch too. 

He did a great job! 

He wasn't happy that I made him wear a polo and jeans instead of a t-shirt and gym pants.

Wasn't a walk in the park in our games today...

We played the same team twice today...we pulled out a win in the morning and just couldn't do it twice and therefore took second place...such a bummer, but the boys played hard and did great!

Sure was nice to get outside and enjoy the weather a bit for the afternoon, and Gizmo was glad to have us home.

And a party in the trampoline...or at least that is what it looks like!

Well...he looks the part of the hockey player for sure this weekend.

One pro to this arena is the walking track around the top of the rink...got my steps in for sure between periods and games.

We gave Eddie's friend Cory a ride home from the game...and man were they jacked up.

After a day of hockey...calls for a trip to Fiesta Cancun!! And some snapchat.
