The kids thought they needed to cool off after school today...sadly after wet; it wasn't so warm feeling outside...

Then it was off to soccer for Eddie and the red team.

If only life was always sunshine and rainbows....

But we are always thankful...

Due to our busy fun filled weekend, today we did a little relaxing and movie watching. Naughty dog on the couch!!

We had a busy productive day today...got another tree ring finished! While gizmo snoozed off to the side, some supervisor he was. Then we had a fast early fire just before the storms rolled in.

Beginning of weekend recap...FC, outside with Gizmo, and some boating and fishing. Pretty great!

Ed was on Bourbon street in Louisville KY for work, they tried a bourbon drink that he really liked; so he decided to try to recreate it at home...sadly it wasn't as good. But it sure took quite a few ingredients.

Track and Field Day @ Oneka

 Today was track and field day for Rowan. It is a few hours outside where the kids can go around and try every station/activity. Jump rope seemed to be her favorite...!

Then we had errands to do and Dad wasn't home...so we accidentally stopped at Chipotle for dinner.

Our friends and neighbors (The Raleigh's) just got a new puppy, Sully. Rowan loves him; it sure makes your brothers soccer practice fly by!

Carly and Matt's wedding

I decided to make the trip alone for my cousin Carly's wedding in an effort for our kids not to miss activities and to not need child care as well. I came down last night and was able to go to Babies R Us and help Amanda finish registering for baby shower items. Let's just say we closed up Babies R Us.

 

Then this morning I was able to visit my two Grandma's in town. Grandma Marion and Grandma Audrey. Sadly they were short visits, but definitely worth it.

Then before I knew it it was time to get showered and ready for the wedding. Apparently it is good luck for it to rain on your wedding day; but frankly I don't like it.  

Following the beautiful service, us family met up at a bar in Brookfield before heading over to the cocktails, dinner and reception. Tried to get most of us cousins together for a few pictures, but people were coming and going constantly so not an easy task.

The best man did a wonderful singing speech; pretty awesome. And then Matt played Carly an Ed Sheeran song to surprise her. That was great!

Got to sit by Father for dinner! The meal was delicious.

3rd grade music concert

Rowan's class and two others performed together today. It was short and sweet!

Just another music concert for this girl. They sure aren't what they used to be. During the school day and broken up by a few classes at different times. What happened to night time music concerts, dressing up and a huge amount of kids at once?
