Blue Dragons finished their season today...on a good note. Complete with medals.

Topped it off with ice cream at Cup and Cone with his closest buddies.

Nothing better than getting packages in the mail. New game and nerf gun from MI! So fun.

assembly time

This is what Dad and I got to do when he got home...assemble princess's birthday present! She was thrilled. Eddie got a few turns too.

I received this mail today...originally postmarked December 19...and arrived today! Hmmm...something is wrong with our postal system. There was a check in here that was cancelled way back when because it was for my sisters bachelorette party that was a month ago! Ridiculous.

Last soccer practice for Eddie...was a warm one. And he wore his new shirt from Nana and Papa!

Apparently Dad had fun at Rowan's party...the aftermath.

We have an 8 Year Old!

Happy birthday to our favorite girl! Not sure where life has gone...

But today we will celebrate you, with many of your friends, doing one of your favorite things these day...Gymnastics!

Rowan literally doesn't play with toys...so this year, along with her grandparents and great aunt, we bought her a gymnastics bar and mat...to be delivered tomorrow!

Then, at noon today, she got to spend time at Flips Gymnastics with a few of her friends. We had pizza and cake, and presents. And after their hour in the gym with a coach, they were all tired. Hope you enjoyed your day Rowan...now stop growing up so fast.

 

birthday eve

It is pretty cute that despite the quarrels most days, they love to sleep together at night. They'd do it every night if we let them. Tonight, Rowan goes to bed a 7 year old and wakes up an 8 year old. 

last day

Morning started out great...we squeezed in a family fishing trip on the lake thanks to the Praeger's! (for letting us use their pontoon! )

 

Eddie and I held fish for the first time!

And then as we were heading back in...we found Grandpa Bill trying to fix his boat! It just stopped in the middle of the lake, so we ended up having to tow him in to shore. Thankfully we were able to do that before any rain came.

When we finished fishing...we made the decision to pack up and head home. The forecast for the day was cloudy and rainy, and since we spent most of yesterday inside bars and what not, we decided we couldn't do that again today. Then we would have all day Saturday at home to recooperate, do laundry, etc. We were on the road by noon!

 

Our drive home was uneventful...thankfully.

 

Rowan and Eddie had a package from Nana and Papa when we arrived home, and the birthday girl could hardly wait to open it, so we let them. A new age fanny pack for Rowan...filled with awesome goodies! Eddie got a couple new t-shirts too.



We barely unpacked bags today...but it sure will be nice to shower in our own shower and sleep in our own beds. Sad that our summer vacation is over though. What a great week up north!
