so excited...

Everyone is always excited when Dad gets home from work...almost makes me not feel good enough at times! But Eddie really loves Dad's new car! Not sure what it is about it, but always wants to go in it, and will ditch Mom for riding in Dad's car. Guess I need a new car and maybe he will choose me again!

Saturday challenge vs fun

All because Ed challenged my entire family to a Weekend Warrior Fitbit challenge...I ended up with this nice blister! No wonder the ball of my foot was bothering me when I was running this morning!

After we were all sweaty from walking and running outside, and then inside...then heading to Menards for a few needs for the house, we talked Dad into going to the beach for a couple hours. He of course didn't want to go...but we told him it was time to take time away from house work and go play.

It was perfect for us all to be in the water playing for a few hours. We played lots of catch with a football! Kids did a little swimming too, anything to stay cool.

Then we headed home to shower and cool off before heading down the street to Brooklyn's 5th birthday party. Us adults holed up in the shade and the kids did a little swimming and bouncing too. They also got to go through a little candy line and fill their bags with goodies before having cake and ice cream!

Square Lake Park

When we went to the beach a few weeks ago, I decided to buy the Washington County Park pass! So today we researched other swimming beaches we could get into with the pass! So we found Square Lake Park, which was about 30 minutes away! But it was a very nice beach! And the weather was perfect for a beach day, so we packed a lunch and off we went for several hours.

After the beach we headed home to rest for a bit. And the kids played...always nice when they can play together quietly for a bit, even if they are a bit goofy!

new to us car!

More so new to Ed...maybe I will get to drive it someday? The kids and I spent the last couple of days getting paperwork together and heading to DMV to get car registered/titled and MN plates. And of course changing over insurance too! Eddie loves his dad's new car. He always asks to ride in it...not sure what he loves most about it. I think that it's the boys car? When we drove home on Sunday morning, him and Ed were in the car and Rowan, Gizmo and I were in the Tucson...

Aquarium and rides!

It is pretty normal that when people visit MN they want to hit up the Mall of America! Today we got to do a few new things! the Sea Life Aquarium was a first for us. And we got wristbands for rides today too. So the kids did many more rides...the lines are much shorter during the week making the wristbands even more worth their money. The kids had a blast. By about 4pm, we decided to head back to their hotel and let the kids swim before we headed home for dinner.

 

The Desai Family

Lisa and the kids got to tag along with Bob on his business trip to MN this time! We are so glad they came! They arrived this afternoon, stopped by our house for a tour and to play for a bit before we headed out for dinner. Ed met us at Digby's in Roseville after work.

 

After dinner we headed home and they headed to Bloomington to check into their hotel. We will meet up and play tomorrow while the daddy's work!
