The weekend is here....

Amanda and Peter came to visit us this weekend. They get to enjoy many activities tomorrow...so we will start tonight with some yard games and beverages.

Last weekend we got Rowan some of her own rollerblades. She loves them. She has a few scabs to show for already, but she keeps getting back on them! Go Girl!

And Aunt Amanda and Uncle Peter brought Eddie's birthday present...a new scooter with light up wheels! He was so excited!

last swim...

On the last night of swim lessons...Rowan's age class always holds a race across the pool with noodles. She won one of the heats! Proud to say she graduated from Level 3 and Eddie graduate from Little Swimmers.

The Color Run

Today we participated in the Color Run...a 5K Fundraiser to benefit Hugo and Oneka Elementary schools. Rowan fundraised $250 dollars and earned some fun swag for the run: sunglasses, sweatband, wiper glasses, wig, a backpack, and 8 color packets. She wouldn't wear the wig, so Ed helped her out!

Rowan and I finished the run in 36 minutes! She did a great job running and occasionally walking. We didn't finish as a family because she took off running, and I didn't want her to finish alone, so I caught up to her and finished with her. We started in waves...and Crystal and Elaina started in wave 1 and us in 2 or 3...so we eventually caught up to them!

Many of our neighbors also participated...so here is our group together.

Rowan and Eddie used any left over color at the end...and even rolled in the street to pick up some more!

Life is so wonderful when Eddie plays quietly by himself. It's amazing what I can get done in that time. If only Rowan would take notes from him!

RC and swim

 Tonight was the last night of run club before the color run this weekend. The kids had to bring a picture before the club started and write a goal they had for the 2 weeks of run club. Rowan wanted to run faster!

Eddie made a new friends during run club...Ella! She is in kindergarten and walked and talked with Eddie on multiple occasions! So cute and nice of her to be kind to a 4 year old. Then Rowan and her friends started talking with Ella too.

After run club and dinner we were off to swim lessons again. Busy nights these days.
