After breakfast this morning we were at it with round 2 for Eddie.
Rowan had become an expert cleaner outer, so she helped her brother clean out the pumpkin and Dad carved for him. Everyone was happy.Sunday, October 19, 2014

Carving with Rowan
We were hoping to have surprised the Goldfinch neighborhood with our presence but since Rowan was under the weather we stayed home. So we sent them a message and a selfie saying we were thinking of them instead.
And Eddie fell asleep early tonight so we carved Rowan's pumpkin without him. Guess we will do his tomorrow. Rowan has been begging all day to carve. Friday, October 17, 2014

plans down the tubes...
We had lots of fun things planned for this weekend...but Rowan started a fever last night that didn't go away this morning. So we will be nursing her back to health instead of playing.
Rowan was supposed to have a playdate with her friend this morning. And then we were going to head to WI tomorrow to surprise our old neighbors and visit some family too. But that is ok, we don't want to spread germs, and a 5 hour car ride when sick wouldn't be very tolerable for anyone either.
We worked in her 1st grade workbook for fun...And they got a package from Nana and Papa with candy and Eddie's costume. So they were happy with that instead. Rowan looks well here but hours later she was burning up on the couch again.
Eddie happened to have Superman underwear on while trying on his Superman costume, so couldn't resist a picture. And he watches his sister and all her expressive poses and faces, so he follows suit.
It was a short night of swimming since Rowan was home sick. Just Eddie and I for 30 minutes.

hand foot mouth
On Sunday, Eddie napped while Uncle Mitch was babysitting, and when he woke up he had a fever. It continued on and off through today, but yesterday he complained that his mouth hurt. I assumed it was strep, so I brought him to the doctor today. Yes he has blisters in his throat, and the rapid strep test came back negative, which leads us to believe it is hand foot mouth. So far only in his mouth. Poor boy, hasn't eaten much in a few days.

Vikings...
Fans just for the day!
Ed was able to get 2 tickets to the Vikings game in the Pentair suite, so we took advantage. Uncle Mitch watched the kids and we ate and drank for free, and stayed warm too!
The Vikings are playing at the University of MN campus while the new stadium is built.
Was a nice view and venue
When the Vikings game is over, you can stay in the suite for an hour. And since the Packer game wasn't over and it was a close game, we watched that on television before heading out. When we got home Rowan showed us how she was cheering for the Packers. And of course, a little rough housing with Uncle Mitch.
