Meet Dr. Seuss...and Blake!

Despite our sick days...she finally managed to complete and be present at school to do her Wax museum presentation as Dr. Seuss! Such a cute day learning with the 5th graders. 

After all that learning...I was due for some lunch with this cute boy!! Blake Russell!!

Straight chillaxin' on our way to hockey this am...or maybe still sleeping. Hard to tell.

 

Trying to make this girl smile during these sick days isn't easy. 

But some holiday nails definitely helped. But man, those dark circles under her eyes say it all.

Traditions continue...daily wreath application.

 OH, and our muddy yard is great in mid-December.

And this girl is still not on the mend....

art, concerts, gnocchi, presents, oh my!

One big difference between Cushing and Hugo/Oneka is Art! They have art every 3 days (rotating with Music and Gym)...where as in MN they only had art maybe 1x/month. The negative is no foreign language here in elementary school...

Which means I get some cool things like this brought home! A scuba diving penguin...made by Eddie!

And today is the 1st and 2nd grade music concert...so Eddie has on his bed clothes for singing this afternoon.

They did a great job!

Grandpa and Grandma Knutson, Nana and Papa were all in attendance with Ed and I.  

Since we were home earlier than normal after Eddie's concert, Ed whipped up a new recipe and made Gnocchi! Delish!

 Tonight, we tried to get a handle on some Christmas gift wrapping. Gizmo wasn't much help...but he wasn't far away either.

 Looks like Dad wasn't much help either!

Rudy and Buster were very imaginative tonight as well...nothing like hanging out in some clean laundry...bras and Leos for the win.

All this work on holiday hats for the bus competition...but Rowan isn't well enough to go to school! 

But they were awfully creative!
