kids projects

Here is Eddie's own selfie to send in for the book project that the whole school is reading.
And Rowan is starting a Race to the great 50 project at school. The first 4th grade class to get a postcard addressed from all states with a geographical snippet on it; wins. So here we go...sending this to all our friends and family in other states via facebook and email.

im home

So this rock was delivered on Friday, and I was really hoping to coming home this morning to it all being in it's place...in the landscape. But the weather didn't really cooperate for that. So I guess we better get our shovels ready.

When we had had our fill of moving landscape rock today (no we didn't move it all); we tried out the new couch in the loft as a family. This was my invitation to join.
And then it was off to hockey with Eddie, therefore the couch sitting didn't last long.

2nd annual Cranberry Fest

Oh and while I was away at play, Ed took the boat in for storage for the winter!
I think he took this picture as he said good bye for a few months.
Not the most ideal weather for Cranberry fest, but we had our rain boots and thanks to Jess some ponchos; and we pushed on. It didn't pour by any means when we were there, and it did stop for some time; but we would have liked some sun! But we were still successful!
Jess and I in our red ponchos
Our group this year was significantly smaller; but we still had just as much fun!

I had many more bloody Mary's this year; delish.
 Megan, Jess, Sue and Barb!
Had to rub this lunch choice in...gyro, delish again.
After Cranberry fest we headed back to the cabin and had dinner together, enjoyed a quick boat ride on the lake and a few beverages. Great sunset!

bring on the plants/shrubs

This actually happened in a few rounds....3 total if I recall. But plants, shrubs and trees are in. I guess bring on the river rock.
Had to take a book selfie for the book that Eddie and the entire school are reading together. Rowan has helped us by reading the chapters aloud while we drive to and from our after school activities.
