First day of school 2017-2018

Well, here we are....heading off to 1st grade and 4th grade. 

 I think they are ready to head back!

 And you aren't ready unless you backpack and shorts coordinate.

 Her backpack and shorts don't coordinate; but she did a bang up job picking out a new backpack.

They both survived their first day, hard to believe. Eddie has Mrs. Briggs (Rowan had her for 1st grade also) and Rowan has Mrs. St. Martin (was on her list of wants). So they should both have a great year. Fingers crossed.

The day never ends right after school...soccer practice to follow.

This is dedication...last minute rib practice in the rain today.

Turns out the weather is nice more than in WI. Turns out our old neighbor friends found themselves tailgating right next to my family at the Brewer game today. And why not take a group photo together. So happy they could all catch up.

While they were tailgating, we were out boating! And we were lucky enough to catch up with some hockey family friends while out there. And the kids got to play together, tube together and Rowan even got to try water skiiing!! She didn't quite get up but definitely gave it her all for a few tries. She was definitely frustrated that she didn't get up completely; but she is so close for her very first try.

So nice of Chris and Sarah to take us all for a ride to watch Rowan and her first time waterskiing. Chris was very gracious to give her a few tips and keep her calm.

While Rowan was boating with Kylee, we took Eddie and Avery tubing.

MN state fair

Turned out to be a pretty great day at the fair. We tried many fair foods and drinks, tried a few rides and games; and saw many interesting people and things. This year we made it through more animal barns than tractor rows. But kids got tired so we packed up and headed home.

I even got to go on a ride with Rowan.

And we founds Eddie's restaurant...Spaghetti Eddie's!

Eddie was invited to join a Fantasy football league with some of the neighborhood boys down the street! What a fun hour of drafting! We got to have pizza with all of the families and watch the boys pick their teams...with much help from their dad's!!

Let's go...The Meatballs!! (maybe he should just be called Half Packers)

Eddie did a pretty good job drafting his fantasy team! He had some help from dad...and has half of the Packers team represented; but he scored well!
