boats and friends

Tonight we went for an evening ride and brought Rowan's friend Brooklyn. They had a blast...we did attempt to do some fishing; but it was short lived with these girls. They were totally into the minnows again though.

 

And said boat ride turned into a sleepover. Brooklyn loves dogs, so she was thrilled to have Gizmo by them every waking minute.

It is time for summer soccer! Let's go RED!

Sure is nice when Gizmo volunteers to step in a knee hockey goalie...he learned to move real fast once he saw those balls and sticks coming at him.

Then when it warmed up enough...first official family fishing on the boat.

Eddie caught a fish and even held onto it.

Rowan was more interested in the minnows than the actual fishing. 

Dad caught a big one too! 

Mom even caught one...thankfully. I was getting bored.

Ed put Eddie to work this morning and had him cleaning out the boat.

Then he let Gizmo in to check it out!

Then it was time to get ready for the Color Run!

Man was it a mess...but fun. Both kids did great!

 We waited for the Dads to finally catch up...and the kids got them colored some more.

 And escorted them to the finish line.

 After we all got cleaned up, Ed and Eddie took the boat out for some more fishing.

Ed took the day off and went to Big Marine Lake this morning with the boat and did some fishing. Not a lot of crazies out this morning it appears. I guess when you are this excited you don't care how cold out it is, and I guess most people are working today.

And he even caught one! (more than one actually)

Then this evening we went out as a family; kids did some fishing and we just checked out the scenery and what this boat can do. Learning the ropes of boat life.

fitbits!!

The kids have been asking to get fitbits for awhile now. They have been saving up there money, and they were on sale; so we told them we would pay for half and they could use their own money for the other half. $50 is a big deal at this age; so we are proud that they were able to save their money and spend it on something healthy....although I am afraid their competitive personalities may make it not so healthy. Time will tell. Get steppin'! Purple for Rowan and Black for Eddie!!

Level 3 team

Well, Rowan tried out this spring for the gymnastics team. She made level 3! We could have chosen to do Xcel, which is less of a money and time commitment; but Rowan is all in and wants to join the Level 3 team. So I got to attend the parent meeting tonight. Here we go...12 hours a week this summer and a car payment a month; bring it on!!
