Since I have all of 3 days before our next guests arrive, why not paint the bathroom to get another thing checked off my list. Beach Glass by Benjamin Moore

breakfast and corn

Before our guests left us this morning, we took them out for breakfast. The kids were so excited.

Sadly they packed up and were on their way from the restaurant, but are already talking about coming back, so I guess they had an okay time. Will miss them.

 

They brought us some Swan sweet corn, that we didn't get around to making while they were here, so we grilled some up tonight with dinner. It was delicious. Eddie ate almost 2 whole pieces.

Saturday shenanigans

Not sure this is the best order...collage is from Friday and Saturday! Greeted our guests Friday night with Moscow Mules...dinner and a fire.

 

Then moved onto waterslide, washers, alcoholic beverages of another nature, pushups, fish tacos and ribs. Once again, not enough pictures. The kids played very well together. I got change a diaper, feed Colter a few times, get my hair colored, get my first ledger win, and also do a few push ups. The losers doing pushup were a great idea when the women won...but when we lost and they took pictures, it wasn't very cool anymore.

Me and my hubby, who I can take pictures with everyday....but didn't get one of me and my bestie.

busy fun sunny day

Today we got to spend time with our friends at the park and beach. We visited these places in White Bear Lake for the very first time. So much fun. Wasn't too hot, packed some snacks, and all were entertained.

When it was time to head home, we had to finish getting ready for our weekend visitors! The Tetzlaff's arrived from WI about 7pm. We had some dinner, played, built a fire, sent the kids to bed, and chatted until we were too chilly.

The kids attempted to sleep the 4 of them on a queen air mattress. Eddie ended up coming in our room saying he had no room at one point during the night, so I tucked him in his bed. And Charlie woke up crying downstairs at one point during the night, so she ended up in bed with Casey and Jake. And then there were two. Thinking we will sleep differently the next night.

K screening

Check out our soon to be Kindergartener! Today he had his kindergarten screening at school. He rocked it, as expected. Can't believe one month from now he will be in school full time.

Seriously...

Nothing worse than when you get the motivation to do something, to find out it can't be done. So much for patching drywall today.

Then...I try to be a nice wife, and go get Savoy's pizza on National Night Out, large pizza deal for $5, limit 3. This was the line when I got there....and it took me an hour to get the pizza. Thought about leaving several times...but didn't have a back up plan, and after waiting 30 minutes, might as well make the trip worth it and get 3 pizzas despite the fact that our family of 4 won't come close to eating it all.
