hockey, visitors, laughs!

The lip is scabbed but more tolerable today!

Rowan busy at work making a sign for Eddie for his last hockey game today!

But before his game, he had a birthday party for his friend Decker at the Vadnais Heights Sports Dome! They could play soccer or kickball! Then they had pizza and cupcakes before we had to sneak out to get to his hockey game!

We met Grandma and Grandpa K, Kathy and Lance, and Aunt Amanda at Eddie's game in St. Paul.

Uncle Mitch and Gabby joined us too!

After Eddie's game, we headed home to get some appetizers ready for our evening of fun with our visitors! They went to Mitch's apartment to move his stuff out and then met us back at our house.

It was sunny but chilly outside, so we kind of holed up in the garage where it was a bit warmer. There was some hula hooping fun, beverages, apps, and lots of laughter. Grandpa is lucky I didn't share the video of him hula hooping!

When we decided to move the party inside...Pie Face made an appearance. Pretty sure we laughed so hard we were crying!

To sum up the day...great laughs with family! Never ending fun! Grateful that Kathy and Lance came to help move Mitch's stuff back to WI, but more so that they came to spend time with us too. Not sure they knew what they were getting themselves into!

Patio fixing...muriatic acid worked!

And this boy...was outside playing with Maddie across the street, and they had poor communication and ran into each other! Eddie took a spill and scraped up his lip and gums! He will survive but it was very dramatic...

...which called for a little nap thankfully!

another crazy spring day

Today, Eddie has his first official eye doctor appointment. He doesn't have any vision issues, but we were advised that he should have been seen by an ophthalmologist before starting school to make sure all is well. So here we are! He was a model patient...and he can see just great! Bring on Kindergarten!

On the home front...the fire pit has been finished!

All cleaned up...

BUT...we have issues. We were told that by sealing the patio before they did the fire pit the adhesive and mud would wash right off! Not the case. Therefore, they will be back after the rain with some muriatic acid to hopefully solve the problem!

 

Then it was on to Spring League Hockey....

And finally...soccer practice for the little lady.

Makes for quite a day...

Finishing up the fire pit today...

Except...they'll be back to clean up this issue! We were told that this would clean off the patio easily if they sealed the patio before doing the fire pit work...well that isn't the case. So when the rain stops, they'll be back to us some muriatic acid to fix this! Bummer.

Last summer when I had Rowan in to have her eyes checked and get glasses, they said the recommendation is to have kid

They have started building our fire pit today...despite some rain, they pressed on.

uh seriously...

Have barely had this vehicle a month...and we lose a part in the car wash! Thankfully I got out and looked to see what the noise was...and it easily snapped back on! And, no scratches! Phew.

Mother's Day 2016

My lovely gifts from the kids! And of course I got a patio this Mother's Day as well (and Ed gets a patio for Father's day too)

This guy did make me breakfast this morning...but for some reason I still had kid food duty!

Then by 830a we were on our way to Polar for Eddie's hockey game! And he scored 4 goals today! Such a stud out there. And he has even started celebrating these goals...thus the stick in the air.

Nice job #4!

Then we spent the afternoon cleaning up the garage sale and playing outside. I tried really hard to do nothing because it was Mother's Day, but it didn't go very well. And when we were all in for the day...here we were snap chatting on the couch. So proud of these mugs.

Too funny what these people come up with.
