finished projects

My mom brought me this sewing table back in February...And I finally got around to finishing it. It took me that long because I needed Ed's assistance to fill holes and drill new holes for new hardware. It turned out so good.

And this chair I refinished for Grandma Julie. She got it from my Grandma Audrey and wants to put it in her bathroom. This too turned out awesome.

Boo bash and bobbing.

Today we visited Boo Bash at Festival. The kids got to trick or treat at the businesses by Festival, got to check out a fire truck, get face painting, some samples, etc. Pretty cool free event. Prepping for trick or treat next weekend.

Then we had some lunch and played outside before heading down to the Autrey's house to have some more Halloween treats and bob for apples. Kids loved it. 

Afterwards we picked up some Papa Murphy's pizza and relaxed and watched a movie as a family.

Spent the last 2 days painting our powder bath! Found out yesterday that our builder didn't/doesn't paint the ceilings. So that added a bit of time prior to painting walls, but now the room is painted ceiling to floor. Now I just need some décor to go with it. But we love the color. It is called Flint by Benjamin Moore.

odds and ends...

In order to not feel guilty sitting at the sewing machine practicing today, we headed to the park again for some quick play time. When the sun is shining it is hard to resist this face.

Nana gave me some leftover burlap, so I made a banner with it! And since Eddie got a pillowcase, Rowan decided she needed a new one. So this is what she picked out!

Today was picture day at school! And this tree is in full fall color, so perfect for a picture of a cute boy with his hair did.

After school we had lunch and then took a bike ride to the park.

 

When we returned home, the mail came and the kids had a package from Nana and Papa with some Halloween goodies for them. Spoiled rotten.

full gear today

Today Ed decided Eddie should try skating with all of his hockey gear on so he gets used to it. He did great. We were hoping he would be a bit more adventurous with it on, not so much. But it'll come. Ed was in his prime getting Eddie all dressed up.

the boys

Last week Thursday...Ed mentioned that his right eye didn't feel right. It was slightly red but that was it. Then Friday he came home 'early' because his eye was puffy and red (pretty much like picture below) Over the weekend it didn't really change much. Sometimes it'd look slightly less puffy, but then worse again in am. So today I made him a doctor appointment for tomorrow afternoon because they didn't have anything available today. We will see what happens.
