another week of summer fun

Last weekend, July 23rd we were lucky enough to spend some time with the Tad Smith family.
I joined the guys golfing in the morning.
Then we met at Nana and Papa's for some lake time...although again the weather wasn't stellar.

Monday night we made it to one of Blake's Tball games.
He is a stud out there showing up those other kids.

Rowan is starting her mini business of epoxy tumbler making and disc bead bracelets.
She got her google form ready and has sent an email to Ed and Eddie's team to solicit her first sales.

Another basement addition - popcorn machine.

Then wrapped up the following weekend with a some sun and lake time. Summer is already dwindling down on us - living up each warm day.

DW Gala

Ed and I were invited by the Pudlosky's to the Discovery World Gala.

We were a bit hesitant initially because we aren't fancy people - but we decided to jump outside of our comfort zone for the night. And it was a blast.

4 hockey families from Waukesha county living their best life.

league champs KM

League champions!!

KM U11 ended the season in 4th place and managed to be the 1st and 2nd place teams to win the league. Pretty exciting stuff.

More visitors in our own yard today.
Thankful for our seasons baseball fans!
Eddie's bruise is continuing to heal.
Of course - can't leave out the ice time this week too.
Ed doesn't get to be out there with them both very often.

took it over

When Nana and Papa are away, the kids will play.

Dusty, Julie and Hudson came up to spend the weekend with us, but sadly the weather wasn't the most cooperative. I honestly have pants and long sleeves most of the day. Of course the sun decided to come out around dinner time. So we ate, and headed back out on the lake. Perfect time for tubing and a little cruise.

Rowan managed to have a skin condition we couldn't manage on our own. But turns out there was no treatment for it anyway, so we waited it out and few days later it started to go away.

Rowan got to try something new this summer with her friend Caitlin. 4 wheeling!

leading into Rowan's Birthday

It's been a busy week in July...
Ed and I started July 3rd with some golf. Visited with family at the Swan residence last minute.
And celebrated July 4th with some Kiltie dessert.
there is always baseball in between!

Then July 9th was Rowan's day with the girls on the lake. A little tubing, a little swimming, the jet ski (they only flipped it once - learned you can't go slow and turn with 3 girls on it).
Snacklebox to share, with a side of fruit.
All of the fun was exhausting for Piper.
And of course, always need something new for hockey - red helmet it is!!

Fireworks and fun

Ran into a few friends on my run this morning - and they didn't care about me at all.

We were able to get out on the lake for a few hours and enjoy the sun today! Some tubing, swimming, sun,  and then fireworks. We almost were all in bed before fireworks, but we stuck it out.

tailgate night

Eddie's team coordinated to tailgate after their game tonight.
Only thing is...we were the only ones that took tailgate seriously. Everyone else brought subs or sandwiches, and we brought cheddar wurst, hotdogs and a grill. So we were solo grilling in the parking lot. Oh well. Thankful Grandpa Kris still has his tailgate grill.

great game and new fun

Eddie had quite the game this week - Ed was able to catch the stats via email!!

Finally some great baseball night weather, and even a game under the lights too.

Finally, Nana and Papa were able to share a new fun surprise with Rowan and Eddie.
They didn't tell them about the purchase, we were headed over for a day on the lake, and took forever for kids to realize the jet ski in the water by the boat. They couldn't believe the surprise.
Good thing they completed their boaters safety course last week. Rowan can legally drive it alone, Eddie will be able to next year.
