Family time at the lake

While the weather wasn't quite as nice as it could have been - we sure made the best of it. 

There was lots of water time, food, Nerf wars, tubing and more. 

We even managed to squeeze in baseball tryouts for Eddie in the middle of it all. 

Birthday week continued...

In the week following - there were additional celebrations. 

Rowan had 3 of her friends on the boat for the day and a sleepover. There was skiing, tubing, snacks, and many laughs. I think they slept a little bit! She even let Piper join in the fun. 

In between - Ed and I managed a walk downtown for coffee with Piper. Gained some inspiration for future basement decor potentially. Blue Collar coffee has a very cool inside - complete with barn metal. 

We had some bonfire time, complete with some catch, s'mores and the Sauce kit outside too. 

Rowan and I were able to swing by her friend Sydney's softball game for a bit in Delafield also, great day to get outside. Why wouldn't we get Rowan a free birthday dessert when at PF Changs too. 

Lastly, we were able to get both kids up skiing together. Even managed to slalom while we were at it. Beautiful night for a boat ride, before the fun begins. 

Smith family is coming into town and it already started off with a bang. 

Adults were getting into the fun of Nerf gun wars...and Ed managed to back his butt into/through the wall. Good thing Nana and Papa aren't done with renovations. Whoopsy. 

13 going on 30

Not sure when this happened, but we officially have a teenager!

Per usual, birthdays go on for days in this house. 

Cookies, balloons, cake, Brewer game, etc. 

We took the kids to the Brewer game and sat in Fridays Front Row. Order many appetizers, a few drinks. Rowan managed to get a ball from the bullpen. Great time all around. 

Of course we squeezed in a baseball tournament in those few days also - where Eddie played against a few hockey buddies, old and new. Pretty great summer weekend. Grandma and Grandpa even made it down for a game.

It was nice that they provided some water protection for the boys.

Happy 4th of July

We had a pretty great couple days on the lake celebrating our independence. 

Started with Fireworks on July 3rd...

And wrapped up with a fun day on the lake with Dusty, Julie, Hudson, Nana and Papa. 

Tubing, water time, sun and more.

Started at the pool! 

Tried out a floating laundry basket hack - which was an epic fail. 

Following a traumatic swim, one needs to cuddle. 

Firsts for both kids!!

Rowan and Eddie have been lucky to have TK teach them how to ski. Last summer they learned how to ski at all, now this summer they are learning how to slalom. Eddie was the most successful but Rowan was super close for her first time too. Guess we need to upgrade our skis so they can slalom on our boat too. 

Fun to see them double ski with friends too. Eddie and Jax.

If we keep letting TK teach them..they will be barefoot skiing before we know it.
