racing home

Last night we spent the night with Grandpa and Grandma, went to Great Grandma Marion's burial and then we headed home. Uncle Mitchell drove home with us so that the rest of the family would have more room in Amanda and Peter's car. Mitchell is flying back to NY Sunday night from MSP anyway. Gizmo LOVED having the kids in the back with him. They were fighting over who got to sit there so they had to take turns. When we stopped for lunch they traded spots. And he snuggled in with both of them. The rest of the family stopped at the Swan's to have a Bloody Mary together before heading to our house. So we are racing home to unpack and finish getting ready for their arrival.
We also raced home to try to get Rowan to gymnastics on time! And we were successful. So when she got home she bee lined for Blake!! Such a baby hog!!
Since we did a puzzle a couple weeks ago, Grandpa Kris mentioned he would like to do a puzzle when at our house, so we ordered up a Nutcracker puzzle for the family to work on. And they sure didn't waste any time!!

Dearly missed...

This past week we were dealing with another emotional rollercoaster....my Grandma Marion took a turn for the worse and became another guardian angel for us all. She truly is in a better place where she will remember us all and reunite with many lost loved ones. Therefore, we took a trip back to Wisconsin this morning to celebrate her life. The kids were excited to see some second cousins that we don't get to see enough.
Blake was even dressed for the occasion, Great Grandma would be proud.
After the visitation and service we all gathered at the Legion in Hartland for some food, drinks and laughs. She left a legacy for sure. Many proud people filled this space to remember her.

ear plugs + new

Lucky for us, Rowan gets to bring her recorder home for all of Thanksgiving break...
Today we had our new chair, coffee table and side tables delivered. Sadly I realized the coffee table was damaged as the truck was pulling away. So have to wait a week for them to exchange it. Oh well.

our hero

Today Blake had minor surgery and had his extra digits removed from his hands. He was a rock star and loves the Moose we sent him. His Mom and Dad are so glad to have this behind them finally.
